The East Central Iowa Housing Trust Fund is announcing that applications are now being accepted for the 2026 Critical Home Repair Program. This program is designed to help homeowners make necessary repairs to their homes, ensuring safe and healthy living conditions. The funds can be used for a range of essential repairs including, but not limited to:
- Roof repairs or replacements
- Heating and cooling system repairs or replacements
- Plumbing and electrical repairs or upgrades
- Accessibility improvements for seniors or individuals with disabilities
Homeowners may qualify for up to $20,000 in grant funding. Homeowners must meet income guidelines and occupy the home as their primary residence.
